Hester Jones

Hester Jones, age 98 of Calhoun, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2012 in Gordon Health Care. Hester was born on March 15, 1914 in Fannin County. Daughter of the late George Rickett and Margaret Harris Rickett. She was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by; Her husband, Oscar Lynn Jones. Her brother, Floyd Rickett. And sisters; Bessie Legg, Myrtle Rickett and Mamie Taylor. Survivors include; One son, William Jones and his wife Linda of Adairsville. One daughter, Sandra Avery and her husband Larry of Calhoun. Six grandchildren; Sharon Seabolt and her husband Kenny of Calhoun, Scott Jones and his wife Lisa of Adairsville, Kipp Champion and his wife Selena of Adairsville, Paul Avery and his wife Kayla of Sweetwater, TN, Brian Avery and his wife Beth of Milledgeville, GA and Jennifer Avery of Rome. Seven great-grandchildren; Lindsey Baxter, Jordan Seabolt, Spencer Jones, Jackson Jones, Lydia Avery, Zelphia Avery and Alex Avery. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00p.m. on Sunday, March 25th from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Rev. Jason Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include; Scott Jones, Paul Avery, Brian Avery, Kipp Champion, Kenny Seabolt and Corey Baxter.
