Tuesday, June 29, 2010 Henry Fredrick Grady, age 88, of Calhoun died Monday June 28, 2010, in Gordon Hospital, following a brief illness. Henry was born in Duplin County, North Carolina on April 17, 1922. Son of the late Durham Grady and Glennie Outlaw Grady. He was formerly employed by the US Government as an FBI Agent. In addition to his parents he was preceded by death by his sister Geraldine Phillips. Survivors include his wife, Harriett Craig Grady of Calhoun. His daughter, Pamela Thompson of San Bernardino, CA, one stepdaughter Catherine and her husband Scott Hood of Ranger, GA, two step sons Charles and his wife Becky Craig of Roswell, GA and Andy and his wife Debbye Craig of Jackson, GA. One grandchild Lisa Sander and her husband Jay of Redlands, CA, three step grandsons, Corwin Craig, Joshua Craig, and James Hood. Two great granddaughters Catherine and Alison Sander. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday July 1 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home, with Chaplin Dave Smith officiating. The Scrap Iron Sunday School Class of Belmont Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends Wednesday June, 30 from 5-8 p.m. You may sign the online register book at www.thomasfuneralhomecalhoun.com The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the Belmont Baptist Church. Thomas Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements for Henry Fredrick Grady. Florist note: At the family's request, Mr. Grady's body will be cremated and no graveside comittal ceremony will be conducted. Potted plants and cut arrangements are suitable for the Grady family.
