Helen W. Kritzler

Wednesday, March 04, 2009 Mrs. Helen Warren Kritzler, age 96, of Calhoun died Tuesday evening March 3rd at her residence following a brief illness. Helen was born in Chattam County, Georgia on June 23, 1912. Daughter of the late Otis and Henrietta Smith Warren. She had worked for the Bank of Venice, Florida before moving to Calhoun in 2001. Helen was a avid bridge-player and water color artist. She was a loving mother and mother in –law who was a member of the Calhoun First Presbyterian Church. Her first husband, James Barker who pass away in 1936, her second husband, Lewis Max Danklets in 1982 and her third husband, Herbert Kritzler in 2000, preceded her in death, as well as two brothers and one sister. Survivors include two sons; James Danklets of Code, NC and David Danklets of Venice, FL.. Daughter; Gretchen Tinsley of Calhoun. Step-children; Rob Kritzler of Chicago and Sue Hodley of MI.. Six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Friday March 6th at 2pm from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home. With Rev. Dick Neelly officiating. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5 until 7pm.
