Hattie Pearl Horn Wyatt, 74, wife of Henry F. “Hank” Wyatt, of the Scottsville Community, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012. She was a retired SFC in the United States Army. She and Hank met in Masione Fort Orlean’, France, came back to the states and were married April 2, 1966, at Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Aberdeen, MD.
Hattie was preceded in death by her parents Ransom and Gertrude Horn of Kerns, TX. She was also preceded in death by her eleven brothers and sisters. Clinton Horn, Mable Eaton, Anice Richardson, William Frances Horn, Alfred Horn, Margaret McGee, Robert “Buddy” Horn, Wanda Alberts, Travis Horn, Johnny Horn, and Martha Remington. She is survived by her husband Hank Wyatt, three step-children, Terry Wyatt, Penny Jordan and husband Bo, Lynn Wyatt and wife Diane, eleven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and seven great-great- grandchildren. Also a large number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 15th at 1pm from South Calhoun Baptist Church with the Reverend Gary Bowman and the Reverend Pete Ivey officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery with the American Legion with graveside rites.
Active Pallbearers include; Bryan Jordan, Eddie Lavallee, Terry Lee Wyatt II, Stanton Wyatt, Nathan Wyatt and Chris Wyatt.
Honorary Pallbearers include; Joe Picon, Brian Hall and Brian Golden.
The family will receive friends on Monday and Tuesday evenings after 5pm at the funeral home.
