Hattie Hazelwood Edwards

Thursday, November 01, 2007 Mrs. Hattie Hazelwood Edwards, age 94 of the Plainville Community died Thursday, November 1,2007. She was born, March 5, 1913 in Bartow County, daughter of the late Mose Ezekiel Hazelwood and Sally Chapman. Also, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edwards in 1955 and a son, Buster Edwards on April 29, 2006. She was a member of the Damascus Church of God of Prophecy of Plainville. Mrs. Edwards is survived by one son, Don Edwards; five daughters, Katherine Moorehead, Ophelia Langley, Jeanette York, Deloris Redden, Ruth Boyd; and one brother Calvin Hazelwood all of Plainville; 24 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 3 at the Damascus Church of God of Prophecy with the Reverend Ronnie Wells officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Reverend Leonard Crawford in charge of graveside services. The body of Mrs. Edwards will lie in state from 12:00 noon until 1:00 PM at the church, and the family will receive friends after 5:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Ronnie Langley, Jeff Smith, Tony York, John Anderson, Joel Edwards, and Mark Rice. They are asked to meet at the church at 12: 45 PM Saturday. Thomas Funeral Home has charge of arrangements for the services of Mrs. Hattie Hazelwood Edwards.
