Harlan Ralston

Harlan Ralston, age 81 of Marietta, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 in WellStar Kennestone Hospital. Harlan was born on November 12, 1932 in Gilmer County, GA to the late John Grady Ralston and Viola Sutherland. He was born and raised in Gordon County and lived in Marietta for 45 years. He was a member of Grace Point Baptist Church in Marietta. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Ralston and a brother, James Ralston. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Long Ralston of Marietta and formerly of Calhoun; son, Greg Ralston of Pineville, NC; two daughters, Deborah S. Meyers of Charlotte, NC, and Sandra Corbin of Marietta, GA; one brother, Robert Ralston of Calhoun; ten grandchildren also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, February 8th at 2:00pm from the Grace Point Marietta Church with Dr. Jim Akins officiating. Burial will follow in Georgia Memorial Park in Marietta. Grandson will serve as Pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Thomas Funeral Home.
