Harlan Paschel Parker

Harlan Paschel Parker, Sr. age 64 of Calhoun, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2013 at his residence. Harlan was born on April 3, 1949 in Calhoun, GA to the late Henry Parris Parker and Runette Reed Parker. He was of the Baptist faith and formerly worked for Plainville City Hall. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Paul Christopher Parker and a brother, Charles Anthony Parker. Survivors include his wife Linda T. Parker of Calhoun; four sons, Harlan Parker, Jr., Brent Mathew Parker, Mitchell Parker, and Richard Parker all of Calhoun; three daughters, Linda Shaw, Karen Pierce, and Whitney Parker all of Calhoun; six brothers, Alfred Parker of Calhoun, Arnold Parker of Resaca, Steve Parker of Calhoun, Kenneth "Ricky" Parker of Alabama, Erwin Parker of Tennessee, and Jim Michael Parker of Rome; ten grandchildren also survive. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, October 5th at 2:00pm from the Big Springs Baptist Church.
