Mrs. Louise H. Barnes, age 85 of Calhoun, passed away Friday evening August 23rd at her residence.
Louise was born February 19, 1928 in DeKalb County, Alabama, daughter of the late G.D. Haston and Dovie Rogers Haston. She has been a resident of Calhoun since 2001 and was a member of the Calhoun First Baptist Church and the Faith Seekers Sunday School Class.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Barnes, as well as two sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan Hayes and her husband Ronnie of Calhoun, one brother, Bobby J. Haston and his wife Barbara of Cedar Bluff, Alabama, one sister, Sue Hazelrigs of Rainesville, Alabama. Three grandchildren, Kelli De Guire and her husband Dan, Chris Hayes and his wife Jennifer, and Robert Hayes and his wife Brandi all of Calhoun. Eight great-grandchildren, Sydney De Guire, Walter De Guire, Bryant De Guire, Caleb Hayes, Aaron Hayes, Anna Hayes, Holcomb Hayes, and Hadley Hayes. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday August 26th at 2pm from the Calhoun First Baptist Church with Dr. John Barber and Dr. Bert Vaughn officiating. Music will be provided by Caleb Hayes, Sydney De Guire and Dale Seger. Burial will follow in the West Hill Cemetery in Trion, Georgia at 4pm.
Pallbearers serving include, Robert Hayes, Chris Hayes, Dan De Guire, Mike Chastain, Ken Dalton, Ronald Crouch, Walter De Guire, Bryant De Guire, and Caleb Hayes. Members of the Faith Seekers Sunday School Class will serve as honorary escorts.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 5 until 7pm at the funeral home.
