Glenton Allen Smith

Glenton Allen Smith, age 84 of the Ranger Community, passed away Friday, August 25, 2017 at Ridgewood Manor of Dalton. Glenton was born on March 14, 1933 in Manchester Georgia, a daughter of the late Elwin Allen and Mamie Watkins Allen. In addition, a daughter, Donna Ruth Smith; two brothers, Robert Allen and James Allen and a sister Ruby Daniel preceded her in death. She is survived by one son, Kenneth Smith of Ranger; and a daughter, Denise Lydic of Dallas; four grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted in Fain Cemetery at 12:00 PM, Tuesday, August 29 with her nephew, Reverend Randell Daniel officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Thomas Funeral Home preceding the graveside service. Thomas Funeral Home has charge of arrangements for the services of Glenton Allen Smith of Ranger.
