April 13. 2010 Mr. Roy Glenn Jennings age 74 of the Resaca Community died Monday april 12 in the Hamilton Medical Center following a sudden attack suffered at his residence. Mr. Jennings was born in Gordon County on Oct. 2, 1935 son of Thomas Franklin Jennings and Eva Mae Fossett Jennings. He attended the Central Church of Christ , was a Life member of the Calhoun Elks Lodge 1883 and most of his working years he was Service Manager for New Car Dealerships, Davis Chrvrolet and Prater ford and at the time of his death was employed by Pilot Travel Center.. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother; Ellis Jennings, and sisters; Carlese Scott, Maurice Jennings and Wilma Nell Jennings. Survivors include his wife Pat Brown Jennings of Resaca, a sister; Betty Brock of Calhoun, and a sister-in-law; Barbara Judd of Dalton,. nieces and nephews; Kim Epps of Dalton, Cindy Bryant of Calhoun, Dean Jennings of Plainville, Stacey Burton of Dallas, Ga, Tina Rutledge of Plainville and Terry Rutledge and his wife Kay of Calhoun. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Thursday April 15th from the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitfield Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers serving include Bill Davis, Jerry Evans, Gene Crump, Bob Williams, Dempsey Wright, Chase Rutledge, Nathan Duke, Greg Epps and Dean Jennings and they are asked to meet at the funeral home at 2:30 P.M.
