Glenn Harrison Gross, age 77, of Calhoun, passed away Monday morning, September 23rd, at his home.
Glenn was born January 15, 1947, in Albany, New York, son of the late Frank Gross and Marion Bachmann Gross. He was a Viet Nam Era veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the St. Clements Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Prior to his retirement Glenn was employed by Cornerstone Demolition. He loved to work on cars and loved playing cards, but his greatest love was his wife, children, and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Rivera Gross, four children, Maria Gross, Mark Gross, Vincent Gross, and Anthony Ortiz. Two brothers, Wayne Gross and Dean Gross, one sister, Patricia Strohecker. Nine grandchildren, Daniel Gross, Vincent Gross Jr., Brittany Childs, Presley Gross, Amber Gross, Ashley Gross, Todd Newbauer, Nathan Gross, and Colin Gross. Several great-grandchildren also survive.
The Funeral Mass will be conducted on Wednesday, October 9th, from St. Clements Catholic Church at 11:00 AM with Father Vanderley Oliveira officiating. Burial will follow at 3 pm at the Georgia National Cemetery with military honors afforded by the United States Air Force Honor Guard.
