Glenda Rice McMichen, age 60 of the Plainville Community, died Saturday, April 14, 2012 at her residence.
Glenda was born September 1, 1951 in Floyd County, daughter of Kathrine Edwards Morehead and the late James Rice. She has spent most of her life in Gordon County and attended the Church of God of Prophesy of Plainville.
Glenda is survived by her mother, Kathrine Rice Morehead; twin sister, Brenda Morris and her husband Frankie; brothers, Lamar Rice and his wife Susan of Plainville, Jimmy and Randall Rice, Todd Rice and his wife Christy; five nieces and nephews, Kaylie, Summer, Bryson, Mark, and Matthew Rice all of Plainville; one great nephew, Levi Rice and his wife Makayla of Tennessee.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00p.m., Tuesday, April 17 at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverends Ronnie Wells and Leonard Crawford officiating. Burial will be in Scott Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Tony York, Joel Edwards, Shane Van Dyke, Mark Rice, Levi Rice, and Matthew Rice; honorary pallbearers are Jeff Smith, Saul Edwards, Jerome York, Dewane Brown, Ronnie Langley, and Leroy Hazlewood. They are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:45 PM, Tuesday.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00p.m. on Monday, April 16th at the funeral home.
