Glenda Ann Greeson

Glenda Ann Greeson, age 68 of Calhoun, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2013 in Floyd Medical Center. Glenda Ann was born on January 25, 1945 in Gordon County. She was the daughter of the late Virgil Greeson and Mildred Parker Greeson. Glenda was a member of the Sonoraville Baptist Church, former member of Sequoyah Garden Club and active member of the Harris Art Center. She was a talented and creative artist with floral designs and hand thrown pottery. She was an Alumna of the Medical College of Georgia with a specialty in Occupational Therapy. She was formerly employed by Vanderbilt University Hospital of Nashville and held license number one. She was also a past member of the State of Georgia Occupational Therapy Licensing Board. Survivors include: her brother, Joe Van Greeson of Calhoun; one sister, Sue G. Erwin and her husband David Erwin of Calhoun; two nieces, Tara E. Coiner and her husband Dan, and Rachel Erwin; one great niece, Sophia Coiner; and one great nephew, Vance Coiner. Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, July 25th at 11:00am from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Marilyn Horne officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 24th from 5:00 until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
