Gladys Adelaide “Addie” Silvers, age 94 of Calhoun, passed away on Thursday March 14th at Dalton Place in Dalton, Georgia.
Addie was born on April 7, 1924 in Queens, New York, daughter of the late Warren B. French and Adelaide Snow French. She was of the Presbyterian faith and worked as a customer services representative with Lord and Taylor prior to her retirement. Addie was a sweet and giving people person who loved art and oil painting. She loved to quilt and crochet. Everyone loved her cakes and apples pies.
Survivors include: her two daughters, Hope Ann Wilson and her fiancé Mark Minerd, and Laurie DeScalzo and her husband David; three grandchildren, Carrie LeBlanc and her husband Glenn, Amanda Knerr and her husband Thomas, and Daniel DeScalzo and his wife Jennifer; and two great-grandchildren, Abigail LeBlanc and Luke DeScalzo.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, March 22nd at 5 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 22nd from 4 PM until the funeral hour at 5 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
Graveside Services will be held on Sunday, March 24th at 2 PM in Chandler Cemetery.
