Gerald J. Wemmer

Wednesday, March 16, 2011 Gerald J. Wemmer, age 88 of Calhoun, passed away Tuesday evening, March 15th in Gordon Hospital. Gerald was born December 5, 1922 in Fresno, California. Son of the late Nathan and Elsie Miller Wemmer. He was a member of the Calhoun Seventh Day Adventist Church and was formerly a dedicated architect in Orlando, Florida and Calhoun, Georgia. He was also a private pilot and enjoyed sailing, water sports, scuba diving, and skiing. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Jerry Wemmer June 10, 2009. Survivors include; his wife, Minnie Wemmer; one daughter, Joy Wemmer of Ringgold, GA; a daughter-in-law, Lynn Wemmer of Calhoun; one grandson, Todd Wemmer and his wife Cheri of Salem, MA; two great grandchildren Samuel and Annabelle Wemmer of Salem, MA. Several nieces, nephews and friends also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted at the graveside of the Pine Mountain Valley Cemetery near Pine Mountain, GA at 2 PM, Sunday, March 20th.
