George Leon “Bud” Stewart, age 74 of Calhoun died Friday, August 29th in Floyd Medical Center of Rome.
George was born, February 24, 1940 in Columbus, Ohio, son of the late George D. Stewart and Georgia Jolley Stewart. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Theresa Ballew formerly of Benton, Arkansas, one sister, and three brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Stewart of Calhoun; one son, George W. Stewart and his wife Robin of Columbus, Ohio; two daughters, Connie Morris and her husband Larry of Calhoun, Kimberly Bonham and her wife Mary of Tacoma, Washington, a step-daughter, Angeleke Bishop and her husband Daniel of Mount Carmel, Tennessee; two brothers, Carl and Dave Stewart, two sisters, Dorothy Barrett and Jean Langbein all of Columbus, Ohio; 13 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday September 3rd at 1pm from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Foley officiating.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5 until 8pm.
