Gavin Ray Burger

Gavin Ray Burger, age 22 of Ringgold, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2011 at his residence. Gavin was born February 27, 1989 in Calhoun. Son of Martha Moore Chance and the late Gayle Ray Burger. Gavin was a member of the South Calhoun Baptist Church and graduated from Calhoun High School class of 2007. Survivors include; his mother, Martha Chance and her partner Billy Walker of Franklin, Tennessee. Sister, Vanessa Darnell and her husband Andrew of Calhoun. Grandmother, Dimple Burger of Calhoun. Nephew, Hayden Darnell. Uncles and Aunts; Marcus and his wife Teresa Moore of Calhoun, Keith Wright of Alabama, Clarence and his wife Pat Burger of Calhoun, Helen Phillips of Calhoun, and Shirley Aimee of Alabama. Several Cousins also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00p.m. Saturday, September 24th at South Calhoun Baptist Church with the Rev. Gregg Free and Speaker Joe Fariba officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers include; Caleb Young, Curt Welch, Daniel Baldwin, T.J. Allen, Tucker Allen, Jeremy Smithey, Sean Jones, Travis Ford and Eric Rosen. The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 8:00p.m. Friday and on Saturday until 12:30 at which time Gavin will be taken to the church to lie in state from 1pm until the funeral hour.
