Gary Billy Cox

Gary Billy Cox, a cherished family member known for his love of music, reading, and enjoying the simple pleasures of life, passed away on October 17, 2023, in LaFayette, Georgia. Born on April 3, 1958, Gary's life was a testimony to the beauty found in everyday life.

From an early age, Gary displayed a profound appreciation for music. Whether it was the soothing melodies of his beloved records or the eclectic tunes, he found solace in the harmonious rhythms that accompanied his daily life. Not limited to melodies alone, Gary also had a passion for looking through magazines. In the pages of magazines, he discovered new worlds through colorful pictures.  

Gary’s family described his appreciation for simple pleasures. Few things brought him more joy than savoring a scoop of cold ice cream or relishing a bubbly glass of Coca Cola. These small indulgences served as reminders to find delight in everyday moments and appreciate life's fleeting pleasures.

Throughout his journey on earth, Gary relied on the strength of family and friendships. While mourning Gary's passing, his loving family who stood beside him always. Gary is at rest now, with his beloved parents, Billie Cox and Thelma Ragsdale Cox; their spirits forever intertwined with their beloved son.

Gary Billy Cox will be remembered as a gentle soul who found joy in the unassuming aspects of life. Through his affinity for music, magazine pictures, and the simple pleasures, he taught us all the importance of appreciating the little moments that make life meaningful.
