Gary Wayne Causby, age 81, of Gordon County, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at the Veteran’s Home in Pell City, Alabama.
Gary was born on December 21, 1943, to the late Fairell Causby Sr and Bertie Greeson Causby. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Martha Sue Brackett and Ozelle Jordan, and brother, F.C. Causby Jr. Prior to his employment as a conductor at Norfolk Southern Railroad, Gary was a Sargent in the United States Army serving in Vietnam. He was a life member of the VFW, Disabled Veteran's of America, American Legion, Coosawatee Lodge #306, and Yaarab Shrine Temple. Gary was a member of the Pine Chapel Methodist Church. His passions included buying junk and old cars, and dirt track racing.
Gary is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon Faye Fuller Causby; daughters, Cammy Causby, Christy Millholland, and Callie Causby; his sister, Robbie Causby, six grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted on Monday, April 14, 2025, at 2 PM, from Pine Chapel Cemetery, with military honors being afforded by the United States Army, followed by Masonic Rites by the Coosawatee Masonic Lodge #306.
The family will be receiving friends and family Monday, April 14, 2025, 11:00 to 1:30 PM, from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Coosawatee Masonic Lodge @106 Arbor Place, Calhoun, Georgia 30701.
