Gail Shadburn, age 74 of Calhoun, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Calhoun Health Care. Gail was born on September 7, 1942 in Gordon County to the late Durham W. Richards, Sr. and Essie Lee Jones Richards. She attended Blackwood Springs Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Craig Shadburn and his wife Jennifer; two brothers, Butch Richards and Larry Richards; and two sisters, Norma Richards Holliman and Connie Richards Frew. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, November 17th at 11 AM at Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Wayne Neal and Michael Carr officiating. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will be Josh Stone, Jason Hobbs, Brad Johnson, Michael Carr and Bobby Slaick. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 PM until 9 PM at Thomas Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Disease Research DBA Cure Alzheimer’s Fund at curealz.org You may leave the family online condolences at www.thomasfuneralhomecalhoun.com Thomas Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Gail Shadburn of Calhoun.
