Freida Lynn Thomason, age 52, of Calhoun passed away Sunday evening December 2nd at her residence. Freida was born July 11, 1960 in Floyd County, the daughter of Charlie Frank Brown and Lucy Odell Glass Brown. She was a loving wife and mother and Goo Goo, who suffered much in this life, but now she is basking in the presence of her wonderful, wonderful Lord. Freida was a member of the White Grave Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband, Kenneth Thomason. One son, Jason Lee Thomason and his wife Sydney. Two daughters, Elizabeth Kristen Thomason Patterson and her husband Chris and Rachel Lynn Thomason Hoyle and her husband Sam. Two brothers, Randy Brown and his wife Felicia and Marty Brown. Five grandchildren, Garrett Patterson, Malory Thomason, Nathan Hoyle, Landon Hoyle, and Jadon Thomason. Two step-grandchildren, Cody and Cameron Patterson also survive all of the New Zion community. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday December 5th at 11am at the White Graves Baptist Church with Brother Sammy Allen and Brother Isaac Johns officiating. Music will be arranged by Mrs. Jimmie Lou Allen. Burial will follow in the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery with Brother J.E.Glass in charge of the graveside rites. Pallbearers serving include; Brandon Brown, Bradley Brown, Todd Norrell, Nathan Brown, David Brown and Jason Thomason. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5 until 9pm at White Graves Baptist Church.
