Fred Jerrel Goble, age 84, of Calhoun, passed away Saturday July 4th at Calhoun Health Care Center.
Fred was born March 16, 1931 son of the late Gladys Goble. He was a veteran of the United States Army and attended the St. Clements Catholic Church. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Ford Motor Company. Fred was a member of the UAW Local #588 and the American Legion Post #47.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Bowers and Mozelle Bohannon, four brothers, William E. “Eddie” Bohannon, Claude (Duane) Bohannon, Jesse Bohannon, and J.W. Bohannon.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Goble of Calhoun, one daughter, Patricia Lynn Buhle and her husband Gerald of New Lenox, Il., three brothers, Dan Bohannon and his wife Margie of Calhoun, Terry Bohannon and his wife Elaine of Etowah, Tn., and Jerry Bohannon and his wife Norma of Calhoun, one sister, Charlotte Towe and her husband Larry of Adairsville, one sister-in-law, Cindy Schwark, and one grandson, Zachary Buhle. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday July 7th at 6pm from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Father Joseph Shaute officiating.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5 until 8pm at the funeral home.
