Fred "Frog" Baldwin

Fred “Frog” Baldwin, age 75, of Calhoun, passed away Tuesday, August 12th at his residence. Fred was born February 28, 1939 in Gordon County. He was the son of the late William Clifford Baldwin and Mary Newberry Baldwin. He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers. He is survived by his son, William “Bill” Baldwin and his wife Carolyn of Calhoun; three daughters, Lisa Smith and her husband Randy, Tammy Baldwin and her husband Gary Poarch and Kathy Burchfield and her husband Michael; one brother, George Baldwin and his wife Nila; one sister, Annie Ruth “Boots” Gwin and her husband Paul; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, August 15th at 11:00am from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Gary Quarels officiating. Burial will follow in the Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will be Jason Smith, Randy Smith, Jr., Timmy Parker, Wade Baldwin, Mel Maddox, T.J. Maddox and Chris Kisselburg. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5 – 8pm at the funeral home.
