Frank Blalock, age 65, of Calhoun. Died Tuesday morning May 17th in Hamilton Medical Center.
Frank was born March 9, 1946 in Atlanta. Son of the late Elmer Terrell Blalock and Mae West Pruitt. After graduating from Calhoun High School in 1964, Frank attended Georgia State University and was a graduate of Reinhardt College. He was very active in his community as a former loan officer with the Calhoun 1st National Bank, a member of the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, a pony league baseball coach, a member of the Calhoun Jaycee's, as well as being a automobile enthusiast.
Survivors include his wife Lynn Blalock of Calhoun. One daughter, Traci B. Sexton of Calhoun. Two step-sons, Jeff Cunningham of Nashville and Brian Cunningham of Aliso Viejo, Ca.. One granddaughter, Addison Cunningham along with a number of cousin also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday May 21st at 11AM from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home. With Dr. Brain Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery.
Pallbearers serving include; Kemp Mauldin, Bruce Thomas, Terry Barlow, Buddy West, Harry West, Micky West, Tommy Hough, and Lynn Walter. The Calhoun High Class of "64" will serve as honorary escorts.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 4 until 8pm.
