Frankie Edward Morris

Frankie Edward Morris, age 72 of Plainville, GA, passed away peacefully at Redmond Hospital on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. His devoted wife of 45 years, Brenda Rice Morris and family was by his side as God led him home.

Frankie was born on March 12, 1949 to the late Albert and Susan Morris in Adairsville, GA, then remained a resident of Gordon County throughout his life. In addition to his parents, Frankie was also preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Morris.

Frankie leaves to cherish his loving memory to: his wife, Brenda Morris; special nephew, Mark Rice; brothers; sisters; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.

Frankie received his education through the Kingston, GA Public Schools System. He was a hardworking, kind, and generous man, who impacted those he encountered. He was always smiling, never spoke a harsh word to or against anyone. He truly had a heart of gold. He worked at Trend Mills in Plainville, GA where he served dutifully from the early 70’s to the 80’s. Then went to work at Carriage Carpet in Calhoun, GA until the age of retirement.

Frankie met the love of his life at an early age at a small country store where he fell head over heals in love and they were married on December 18, 1977. He loved spending time with his family. He was always taking his nephews to the lake where they spent countless hours skiing, camping, and fishing. His favorite vacation spot was above all places in the mountains. As much as he loved the mountains, Frankie’s real passion and hobby was working on old cars.

Family, friends, and others whose lives he touched are invited to a celebration of his life to be held at Thomas Funeral Home on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 2 PM with Pastor Ronnie Chandler officiating and reflections of love spoken by Levi Rice. Ronnie Langley will have charge of music. Interment will follow the service at Scott Cemetery in Plainville, GA.

Pallbearers serving include: Mark Rice, Lamar Rice, Levi Rice, Mathew Rice, Ronnie Langley, and Tony York. Don Edwards will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 12 PM until the funeral hour at 2 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
