Frank "Frankie" Hutchinson

Frank "Frankie" Hutchinson, age 68 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on February 16, 2025 at his residence. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Frankie was born on October 23, 1956 in Macon, GA the son of the late Franklin Lamar Hutchinson, SR and Grace Bennett Hutchinson.

Frankie graduated from Calhoun High School in the Class of 1974. He furthered his education at North Georgia College / University of North Georgia in Dahlonega, earning his BBA while being a member of the Corp of Cadets and the Sigma Nu Fraternity.

He dedicated his career and was well respected by the textile industry and notably earned his MBA from Berry College while working. His professional journey was marked by hard work and commitment.

Frankie was a man of many interests. He enjoyed playing golf and working in his yard. Most importantly, Frankie loved spending time with his family. He cherished the role of Papa to his grandchildren, Mila, Emily, and Colt.

He is survived by his wife, Mitzi Moore Hutchinson; daughters Kate Hutchinson Phillips and her husband Jedi, and Melea Robbins and her husband John; son Curt Welch and his wife Brie; sisters Sharon Hall and her husband Charles, Monica Pierson, and Angie Young and her husband John; step-mother Ailene Hutchinson; and a number of nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 from 11 AM until 2 PM at Calhoun First Baptist Church.

Services to honor the life of Frankie will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at 2 PM at Calhoun First Baptist Church with his cousin the Rev. Dr. George Ross Freeman, JR and Dr. John Barber officiating.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the CHS Class of 1974 and the UNG Sigma Nu Fraternity. 

Frankie Hutchinson will be missed dearly by all who knew him. His legacy of love and dedication to family will forever remain in their hearts.
