Frances M. Burcham

Frances M. Burcham, age 83, of Calhoun, passed away Sunday August 10th at Gordon Health Care. Frances was born October 12, 1930 in Elkins, NC., daughter of the late Charles C. Walls and Nona Holbrook Walls. She was a member of the Belmont Baptist Church and prior to her retirement was employed by Sun Trust Bank. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harlon Burcham to whom she was married on August 9, 1947. Survivors include her daughter; Betsy McBee and her husband Lamar of Calhoun, one son; Rev. Marc Burcham and his wife Denise of Atlanta, one brother; Charles C. Walls Jr., and his wife Hattie of Elkin, NC., five grandchildren; Karen Burcham, Matthew Burcham and his wife Rene`, John Burcham, Katie Holsomback and her husband Justin, and Courtney, three great grandchildren; James Padgett, Sadie Holsomback and Anderson Holsomback. Graveside rites will be conducted Wednesday August 13th at 1pm at the Haven of Rest Cemetery with Dr. John Allen officiating. Jim Sellers will have charge of the music. The family will receive friends from 11:30 until 12:30 Wednesday at the funeral home.
