Friday, March 21, 2008 Mr. Ford Quinn age 81 of 198 Charmin Circle, Calhoun, Ga. died unexpectedly Friday morning at his residence. Mr. Quinn was born in Gordon County on January 11, 1927 son of the late James Mark Quinn and Mary Ethel Scott Quinn and had spent his entire life in Gordon County. He was a member of the Evergreen Baptist Church , a veteran of WWII and Korea serving with the U.S. Army and was retired from Lockheed in Marietta and was owner and operator of a vaccum cleaner repair business in Cartersville for a number of years.. Surviving are one daughter; Patricia Quinn Thompson of Hapeville, Ga., two sisters; Lois Hall of Calhoun and Jean Densmore of Bremen, Ga., two brothers; C.L. Quinn of Calhoun and George Leroy Quinn of Dalton and his Companion Barbara Crisp of Calhoun. 2 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and six step-children also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday March 23rd. from the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Lamar Bearden officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot of the Fidel Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include Shane Taylor, Eddie Myers, Ron Mclendon, Greg Reed and Heath Rhymer.These gentlemen are asked to meet at the Funeral Home at 1:30 P.M. Sunday. The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Saturday evening.
