Ferrell Grizzle

Friday, April 13, 2007 Mr. Ferrell DeVaughn “Griz” Grizzle, age 66, of Calhoun. Died Friday morning April 13th in Floyd Medical Center. Ferrell was born in Gordon County on September 13, 1940. Son of the late Wilburn Washington and Bessie Doris Watts Grizzle. He was preceded in death by his step-father M.F. Fuller. Ferrell was a member of Belmont Baptist Church and had served in the United States Naval Reserve. He was retired from the City of Calhoun Fire Department where he served as Fire Chief . He is survived by his wife; Ann W. Grizzle of Calhoun. One son; DeVaughn Grizzle and his wife Melissa of Marietta. Sister in law; Theresia Walraven and her husband Bill of Calhoun. Mother in law; Mozelle Wright of Calhoun. One grandson; Reed Grizzle also survives. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday April 15th at 2pm from the Belmont Baptist Church. With Rev. Jeff Hawkins and Dr. John Allen officiating, Burial will follow in the Fain Cemetery . Honorary pallbearers will include active and retired member of the Calhoun Fire Department. These men are ask to meet at the church by 1:30 Sunday. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5 until 7pm.
