Fernando Luna,

Fernando Luna, Jr. age 33 of Calhoun, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2013 due to injuries sustained in an accident. Fernando was born on July 18, 1980 in Chicago, IL to Fernando Luna, Sr. and Esther Luna. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and prior to moving to Calhoun was a firefighter with the Sycuan Fire Department in California. He was of the Catholic faith and was employed by Engineered Floors at the time of his death. He is survived by his parents, Fernando Luna, Sr. and Esther Luna of Calhoun; his wife, Monica Luna of Calhoun; two sons, Christopher Alexander Luna and Adam Angel Luna both of Calhoun; one daughter; Virgin Maria Reyes, two brothers, Ivan Luna and his wife Jeannie, and Noel Luna all of Calhoun; grandparents, Francisco and Manuela Luna of Chicago; Mother in law; Maria J. Meza, brother in law; Alonsa Meza, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive. A Funeral Mass will be conducted on Tuesday, October 8th at 12:00pm from the St. Clements Catholic Church with Father Joseph Shaute officiating. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include; Ivan Luna, Noel Luna, Alonsa Meza, Oscar Luna, Frank Luna, and Luis Luna. The family will receive friends on Sunday and Monday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
