Wednesday, February 27, 2008 Mrs. Fannie Lois Clark, age 93 of Gordon County, died at 6:30 AM, Tuesday, February 26, 2008. Funeral services for Mrs. Clark will be held Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Homewith Pastor Jan White officiating. Burial will be in the Sugar Valley Baptist Church Cemetery; and the family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Her cause of death was pneumonia. Her early childhood and high school years were spent in Sugar Valley. In 1932, she married Clellon L. Clark and they had 4 boys. In 1947, the family moved to Madison, Tennessee where she worked at the Madison Seventh Day Adventist Hospital. Lois was active in the nursing profession for 40 plus years. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church Lois was preceded in death by three sons, Norman, Felton, and Donald. She is survived by one son, David Clark, DDS of Carlsbad, California. She has 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 4 great, great grandchildren. We will not forget her strength of character and dedication to others, always with love and kindness. She will be greatly missed by all. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Regal Morning Point and Dr. Anthony Captain for the excellent care provided over the past five years.
