Evelyn Lowe

Thursday, April 26, 2007 Mrs. Evelyn Hunt Lowe, age 84 of 126 Stewart Drive, Calhoun, died Thursday morning in the Calhoun Health Care Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Lowe was born in Fulton County, Ga. on July 4, 1922 daughter of the late John Moore and Mae Brown Hunt. She was a member of the Calhoun First Presbyterian Church and was formerly employed by Ben Goldmans Department Store in Calhoun. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sons; Edward and David Lowe, Grandson; Scott Lowe, Sisters; Betty Hunt and Johnny Clackum. Survivors include one son Howell Lowe and his wife Ting of Mobile, Alabama, one brother; Bob Hunt and his wife Jane of Calhoun, one sister Kathleen McFather and her husband John of Calhoun, daughters-in-law; Barbara Lowe of Marietta, Vivian Lowe of Dacula, Ga. and Rita Lowe of Calhoun. Six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday April 28th. from the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Waddell officiating. Interment will follow in the Chandler Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers and are asked to meet at the Thomas Funeral Home at 10:30 A.M. Saturday. The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Friday April 27th.
