Eva Lyles

Mrs. Eva Lyles, age 63 of Calhoun, passed away Saturday morning January 31, 2015 in Kindred Hospital. She is the daughter of the late Roy and Dorothy Moore Holland. She was a lifelong resident of Gordon County and attended church at South Calhoun Baptist Church. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her sister Irene Bramblett and two brothers Roy Jr. Holland and Jack Netherland Holland. Survivors include her husband Roy Lyles; one daughter, Tracie Sloan and her husband Tommy; two sons, Travis Lyles and his wife Tina and Jason Lyles and his wife Jennifer; five sisters, Shirley Odom and her husband Charles, Beulah Stanley, Bonnie Oliver and her husband Sammy, Sara Lau and her husband Mike, and Carol Thomas and her husband Lynn; four brothers, Earl Holland and his wife Clara, Vernon Holland and his wife Faye, David Holland, and Doug Holland and his wife Elizabeth; four grandchildren, Lorna Lyles, Megan Moss, Trena and Trevor Lyles. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Monday February 2, 2015 at 12 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Bowman and Rev. Tim Gowens officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers include: Richard Holland, Raymond Holland, Brian Lyles, Tim Lyles, Matt Hedrick, and Jimmy McRee. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday February 1, 2015 from 4 to 8 PM.
