Eva Bernice Hall Dobson, age 91, of Calhoun, passed away Sunday afternoon at 3:45pm in Gordon Health Care.
Eva was born April 23, 1923 in Gordon County, daughter of the late William Hall and Lela Seabolt Hall. She was a loving mother and homemaker. Eva was a member of South Calhoun Baptist Church and for a number of years was active in the Eastern Star. She had worked in the textile industry prior to her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Miles (A.M.) Dobson, her son, Ronnie Dale Dobson, one brother, Adam Hall and two sisters, Azalea Stanley and Melgie Beets.
Survivors include one son; Danny H. Dobson and his wife Nancy of Calhoun, one daughter; Marjean Dobson Brandon of Calhoun, three sisters; Ruby Tomlinson, Avanell Martin, and Mary Hall, grandchildren; Danny H. Dobson Jr., Kimberly Stanfield, Brian Gentry and Cary Gentry, great-grandchildren; Callie Dobson, Megan Gentry, Josh Stanfield, and Ryan Stanfield, one great-great-grandchild also survives.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Eva Bernice Hall Dobson will be conducted Tuesday August 26th at 2pm from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Hibberts officiating. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include; Danny H. Dobson Jr., Brian Gentry, Cary Gentry, Mark Stanfield, Josh Stanfield, James Carver and Alvin Long.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12 noon until 2pm.
