Wednesday, September 02, 2009 Mrs. Eunice Shepherd Stanfield age 89 of 10 Grove Park Circle, Cartersville, died Wednesday September 2nd in Cartersville. Mrs. Stanfield was born in Gordon County on July 3, 1920 daughter of the late William Arthur and Sina Goss Shepherd. She was a homemaker, devoted wife and mother and grandmother and was a member of the College Street. Church of God in Calhoun. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by all of her siblings and her husband John Henry Stanfield. She is survived by five children and their spouses, Clyde and Linda Stanfield of Calhoun, Jerry and Joyce Stanfield of Calhoun, Carolyn and Billy Loudermilk of Adairsville, Brenda and Harrold Holliman of Cartersville and Rickey Stanfield of Calhoun, 13 grandchildren and they include, Greg Stanfield, Kim Gravitt, Carla Garcia, Tim, Scott, Mark, and John Stanfield, Stacy Thomas, Christie Farmer, Eric Allen, Stefany Howard, Shannan Miles and Amy Weaver, a number of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren along with step grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 Noon Thursday Sept. 3rd. from the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. David Weaver and Rev. Donald Lee Officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The Stroup Family and Ethan Thomas will have charge of the music. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday (today). In addition to flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
