Eunice Rogers Edwards

Eunice Rogers Edwards, age 90 of Plainville, left her Earthly home to be in her Heavenly home on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Redmond Regional Medical Center. Eunice was born on October 7, 1924 in Orange County, NC to the late William Rogers and Julia Ann Lunsford Rogers. Eunice was the oldest member of the Plainville Church of God of Prophecy and was a devoted Christian. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Jason Edwards; son, Glenn Edwards; and granddaughter, Stephanie Edwards Spring. Survivors include her two sons, Jerry Edwards and Stanley Edwards; four daughters, Delores Walraven, Sandy Edwards, Wannetta Mayhew and Melissa Sullivan; sister, Ada Leigh Griffin; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, June 13th at 11 AM from the Plainville Church of God of Prophecy with the Reverend Jerry Gaddis officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers serving will be grandsons, Bryan Walraven, Clint Edwards, Russell Edwards, Blake Edwards, Jason Fain, Tim Edwards, Jacob Sullivan and Will Sullivan. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5 until 8 PM at Thomas Funeral Home. Eunice will be taken to the church on Saturday to lie in state from 10 AM until the funeral hour.
