Eugene T. "Sonny" Couch

Eugene T. "Sonny" Couch, age 79 of Calhoun. Died early Monday morning July 18th in Gordon Hospital. Sonny as he was known to all his friends was born October 8, 1931 in Gordon County. He was the son of the late Homer Lewis Couch and Robbie Jo Scott Couch. He was a lifelong car enthusiast; was a Korean War veteran, United States Army; and was retired from Lockheed Aircraft. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Worley Couch. Survivors include his beloved nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday July 21st at 11am from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home. With Rev. Jimmie Timms and Rev. Terry Timms officiating. Entombment will follow in Fain Cemetery with full military honors. Pallbearers serving include, Stephen Worley, Stuart Worley, Jimmy Prater, Fred Prater, Joel Garland, Ted Smith, and Derek Dickard. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5 until 7pm.
