Eugene T. Parker

Eugene T. Parker, age 83 of the Ranger Community died at 8:30 AM, Monday at his residence. Eugene was born in Gordon County, April 19, 1931, son of the late John Robert Parker and Ola Junkins Parker. Also he was preceded in death by three brothers, Brother J.R. Parker and Brother Julian Parke and Bobby Parker, four sisters, Geneva Silvers, Pauline Silvers, Mildred Silvers, and Bessie Abercrombie, and a grandson Eric Chadwick. Eugene is survived by his wife, Martha Ralston Parker; three sons, Danny Parker and his wife Edna, Timothy Parker and his wife Diane and Barry Parker and his wife Tonya; one daughter, Judy Walraven and her husband Johnny; one brother, Herbert Parker; two sisters, Mary Jo Woody and Dorothy Gallman; and several grandchildren all of Gordon County. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 4 at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Jerry Stephens officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Carmel Cemetery near Ranger. The Parker family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Ryan Parker, Elliott Chadwick, Shane McGhee, Justus McGhee, Roy Pierce, and Ricky Coggins. They are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:45 PM Wednesday.
