Ernest Frank Thomas

Ernest Frank “E.T.” Thomas, age 81 of Rome, passed away at 11:35 AM, Saturday, July 22 at his residence. E.T. was born, October 15, 1935 in Cobb County, son of the late Jesse Leroy Thomas and Vernie Louise Wheeling Thomas. He also, was preceded in death by his first wife, Reba Joyce Hilley Thomas and his second wife, Patricia Pauline Chamberlain Thomas. He was formerly employed by Yellow Freight as a driver and was a veteran of the Korean War, US Army Ranger. E.T. was a member of the Amazing Grace Baptist Church. E.T. is survived by his wife, Elaine Gulledge Thomas; four sons, Frank Thomas and his wife Kathy of Rome, Roger Thomas of Calhoun, Ernest Thomas and his wife Julie of Paragould, Arkansas, and Ronnie Kies of Smyrna ; four daughters, Debbie Marshall and her husband Harold Gill of Austell, Tina Pierce and her husband David, Patty Alexander and her husband Jason of Calhoun, and Ann Kies of Smyrna; one brother, David Thomas and his wife Jeanette of Acworth; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at Monday, July 24, 2017 at 2:00 PM, from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Greg Hunter officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Thomas Funeral Home.
