MR. EMMIT WEST, AGE 75 OF THE FAIRMOUNT COMMUNITY PASSED AWAY FRIDAY MORNING SEPTEMBER 7TH IN THE HARTLAND HOSPICE CENTER OF CARTERSVILLE.
MR.WEST WAS BORN IN PICKENS COUNTY ON APRIL 3, 1932 SON OF THE LATE FRANKLIN OTRELL AND ELLA M. PINYAN WEST. EMMIT WAS A MEMBER OF THE PLEASANT GROVE / RYO BAPTIST CHURCH AND WAS EMPLOYED AS A TRUCK DRIVER FOR THE GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPOTATION. HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS SISTER ERNESTINE CULVER.
MR. WEST IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE BETTY JO CLARK WEST OF FAIRMOUNT, A DAUGHTER, TERESA BRAMLETT OF FAIRMOUNT, A BROTHER, ARNTON WEST OF CALHOUN, THREE SISTERS, ONEIDA SILVERS AND LORENE GARLAND BOTH OF CALHOUN, AND DELAINE YOUNG OF FAIRMOUNT. THREE GRANDCHILDREN, KEVIN AND TEAH BRAMLETT, AND TERRAH WHITLOCK. SEVEN GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, AARON WHITLOCK, DEXTER, HAYLEY, AND TYLER BRAMLETT, BRITTANY SMITH, TIFFANY AND TAYLOR STRICKLAND
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE CONDUCTED ON SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 9TH AT 3:00 PM FROM THE PLEASANT GROVE / RYO BAPTIST CHURCH WITH THE REV. HAROLD OWENS AND THE REV. McRAY WILLIAMS OFFCIATING. INTERNMENT WILL FOLLOW IN THE CHURCH CEMETARY.ACTIVE PALLBEARERS INCLUDE CHAD WHITLOCK, CHAD SILVERS, AL BROUSSEAU, DAVID COCHRAN, DON GARLAND, AND DANNY YOUNG.
THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS FRIDAY EVENING AFTER 6PM AND ON SATURDAY AFTER 4PM.
