Ellen Berry

Mrs. Ellen Macie Berry age 75 of Sugar Valley, died Tuesday evening following several months of declining health. Mrs. Berry was born in Pelzer Township, S.C, on December 29, 1934 daughter of the late Paul K. and Eula Mae Collins Mullinax and lived in Gordon county since 1996. She was a member of the Northside Church of Christ and was a homemaker. She enjoyed Arts, Crafts and sewing and in addition to her parents was preceded in death by her husband Oliver Newton Berry in 1999 and two brothers and one sister. Survivors include one son and his wife; John and Tammy Berry of Sugar Valley, two daughters Deborah Welch and Patricia Berry both of Cartersville and one brother Roy Mullinax of Kansas. Funeral services will be conducted at 11;00 A.M. Saturday May 8th. from the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Ministers Kent Bailey and Terry York officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery. Family members will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday evening.
