Elizabeth (Liz) Seiley Vickers, age 73 of Calhoun, GA, entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 15, 2022 at Hamilton Medical Center.
Elizabeth was born on December 17, 1948 in Hyde Park, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Henry H. Seiley, JR and Frances Hinkelbien Batho Seiley. Elizabeth enjoyed playing Shuffle Board, dancing, music and singing in the choir at Shannon United Methodist Church where she was a member, she was a former member of New Echota United Methodist Church. She loved her family and all of her friends dearly. She was a graduate of McNesse University of Lake Charles, LA and Emory School of Theology of Atlanta, GA. She worked as a paralegal in Charleston, SC before moving to Calhoun with her husband, Charles. She then went to work for Shaw Industries and also served as Pastor at Five Springs United Methodist Church in Dalton, GA and Oak Grove United Methodist Church in Cartersville, GA. She loved the Lord.
Elizabeth is survived by: her husband of 33 years, Charles E. Vickers, SR of Calhoun, GA; daughter, Jennifer Pepper and her husband Paul of Lake Charles, LA; son, Brian Guillory and his wife Robin of San Antonio, TX; step-sons, Charles E. “Chip” Vickers, JR and his wife Renea of Appling, GA; Steven Vickers and his wife Kim of North Augusta, SC; step-daughter, Carrie Jenen and her husband Chris of Graniteville, SC; grandchildren, Michael Guillory, Steven Rushing and Ana Shuff; step-grandchildren, Lillian Vickers, Maddison Vickers, Curtis Jensen, Tora Valverde, Bella Valverde, Nick Givens, Kyra Vickers and Cody Vickers and his wife Ashley; sisters, Barbara Seiley of Calhoun, GA and Kathy Seiley of Calhoun, GA; brothers, Georgia Seiley of Kansas, Hal Seiley of Texas and Rick Seiley of Highland Ranch, CO; sisters-in-law, Ferris Johnson, Mary Boynton and Libby DeRamus; brothers-in-law, Ray Boynton and Johnnie Greene.
A celebration of the life of Elizabeth will be held on September 18, 2022 at 3 PM at Shannon United Methodist Church at 600 First Street, Shannon, GA 30172 with Rev. Ken Freshsier officiating.
