Elizabeth Maddox

Elizabeth Maddox, age 83, of Resaca, passed away at her home Thursday morning April 23rd. Elizabeth was born April 13, 1932 in Floyd County, daughter of the late John Henry Langham and Lilly Mae Langham. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was preceded in death by her husband, Wayford Maddox and two sons, Gene Otting and Robert Otting. Survivors include her daughters, Linda Wheat and her companion Jerome Payne of Resaca and Joann Ghorley and her husband Clarence of Calhoun; two sons, Johnny Maddox and his wife Kimberly of Hill City and Danny Maddox and his wife Helena of Calhoun; two brothers, Alvin Langham and David Langham; two sisters, Betty Jean Williams and Lucille Wheatherby all of Rome; grandchildren, Melissa Hendrix, Terry Wheat, Kathy Maddox, Kenneth Burchfield, William Epperson, Ryan Lowrance, Eric Lowrence, Chris Lowrence, Emily Maddox, Kaylyn Maddox and Joshua Maddox; and great-grandchildren, Rylon Hendrix, Austin Loer, Leland Burchfield, Laim Burchfield, Levi Burchfield, Landon Lowrance, Raylon Lowrance, Bryce Epperson, Baily Lowrance, Alyssia Maddox and Logan Mitchell. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, April 25th at 4:00 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Jerry Green officiating. Interment will follow in Snow Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will be Jerome Payne, William Epperson, Kenneth Burchfield, Edward Silvers, Randell Stephens and Chris Lowrance.
