Elisa Chavez, age 56 of Calhoun, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017 in Pruitt Health – Shepherd Hills of LaFayette. Elisa was born on October 25, 1960 in Jaliso, Mexico to the late Juan Jose Chavez and Maria Almacan Chavez. Elisa is survived by her husband, Miguel Ortiz; four sons, Juan Lopez, Miguel Angel Ortiz, Roberto Lopez and Mario Lopez; daughter, Maricruz Ortiz; brother, Refugio Almazan; sister, Diduvina Chavez; and sixteen grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, June 16th at 4 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Erick Ralec officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5 PM until 8 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
