Eleanor Louise Malone

Thursday, May 01, 2008 Mrs. Eleanor L. Malone, age 80 OF 1254 Mountain Loop Rd., Sugar Valley, died today (Thursday) May 1st. 2008 in Calhoun Health Care Center following an extended illness. Eleanor was born in Fayette County Pennsylvania on May 9, 1927 daughter of the late Michael and Anna Vankula Sabol. Prior to the birth of her children she was a nurse in New York and a loving wife, mother and homemaker for 55 years. She was a member of St. Clements Catholic Church and in addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son Norman F. Malone on Jan .21, 2002. Survivors include her husband Norman D. Malone of Sugar Valley, two sons; Kevin P. Malone of Atlanta and Warren J. Malone of New York. five grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Saturday May 3rd. 2008 from the Old Sugar Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Howard Duvall and Deacon Lloyd Sutter officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugar Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. On Saturday the body will lie instate at the church from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. on Saturday. The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday May 2nd.
