Edward Monroe McNeese

Edward Monroe McNeese, age 68 of Calhoun, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2015 at his residence. Edward was born on September 26, 1946 in Dalton, GA to the late Edward Murphy McNeese and Joyce Erlene Gordy McNeese. Edward was a member of the Underwood Baptist Church and prior to his illness was a supervisor for Southern Binders. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Johnny Dixon; brother, Jimmy McNeese; and sister, Jane McNeese. Survivors include his wife, Patricia McNeese of Calhoun; two sons, Jeff McNeese and his wife Rachel of Sugar Valley and Lamar McNeese of Calhoun; two daughters, Cindy Harstine and her husband Tim of Calhoun and Mandy Noe of Calhoun; brother, John Dixon of Calhoun; two sisters, Carol Bearden of Dalton and Louise Holtzclaw and her husband Lloyd of Dalton; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren also survive. A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Saturday, July 11th at 1 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Dino Bishop officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11 AM until the funeral hour at 1 PM at the funeral home.
