Edward Bright Holbrook

Monday, February 23, 2009 Mr. Ed Holbrook age 82 of 390 Foster Lusk Rd. Calhoun, died Monday Feb. 23rd. in Gordon Health Care following an extended illness. Ed was born in Cleveland, Tennessee on Feb. 7, 1927 son of the late Gordon Andrew and Verdie Rickett Holbrook and had spent most of his life here. He was a member of the Northside Church of Christ, was retired from Fafnir Bearing . In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Vernon, Paul, G.A. and Burnell Holbrook and a sister; Gertrude Holbrook. Survivors include his wife Mary Holbrook of Calhoun, two sons; Mitchell Holbrook and his wife Rhodna and Michael Holbrook all of Calhoun, one brother; Gene Holbrook also of Calhoun. Graveside and interment services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday Feb. 25th. from the Chandler Cemetery with Minister Terry York officiating. The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday evening. Pallbearers serving include Jantsen Hyde, John and James Bailey, Ronnie Holbrook and Derek Holbrook and they are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday.
