Edna Defoor

Saturday, March 19, 2011 Edna W. Defoor, age 92 of Calhoun passed away Saturday March 19th at Hospice Atlanta Edna was born in Gordon County, March 20, 1918. Daughter of the late Robert Watkins and Martha Ann Evans Watkins. For the past seven years Edna has made her home in Atlanta with her daughter and son-in-law. Edna was a member of the Sugar Valley Church of God. In addition to her parents, Edna is proceeded in death by her son Bruce Defoor. Survivors include her daughter Maudann Defoor Shugart and her husband Doyle of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren Paul Defoor and his wife Tami of Calhoun, GA, Douglas Defoor of Calhoun, GA, Keith Shugart and his wife Letitia of Dacula, GA , Kyle Shugart and his wife Cyndi of Hoschton, GA, and Donna Bethune and her husband Todd of Dacula, GA; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 21 at 11:30 a.m. at the Sugar Valley Church of God with the Rev. Dwayne Shadix officiating; interment will follow in the old Sugar Valley Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Active pallbearers will be the grandsons.
