Mrs. Edna B. “Maw Maw” Brown, age 92 of Adairsville died Thursday, at 1:10 PM in the Winthrop Manor Nursing Home of Rome following an extended illness.
She was born December 14, 1913 in Gordon County, a daughter of the late Robert T. “Bob” Burchett and Ida Reynolds Brown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmond Brown; two sons, LaVaughn and Larry Brown, a brother R.T. Burchett and a grandson, David Warren. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church of Plainville.
Mrs. Brown is survived by one son, Jerry Brown and his wife, Joyce of Adairsville, one daughter, Jean Warren and her husband Leonard of Plainville, two brothers, Billy Burchett of Rome and Jackie Burchett of Augusta; one sister, Lucille Palley of Ohio; 17 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren; 6 great, great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 19 at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Richard Webster officiating. Diane Brown will have charge of music and burial will be in the Scott Cemetery near Plainville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 PM, Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Kenny and Michael Warren, Derek Yarbrough, Eric, Brian, and Keith Brown. They are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:45 PM Saturday.
