Edith Debrader Pendergrass

Edith Debrader Pendergrass, age 76 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at AdventHealth Gordon.

Edith was born on November 16, 1944 in Macon County, NC, daughter of the late Ruby Swafford. In addition to her parents, Edith was also preceded in death by her first husband, John W. Jackson; second husband, Bobby Pendergrass; two brothers, Eugene Swafford and George Swafford; and two sisters, Lola Mae Bagwell and Iva Nell Bateman. Prior to her retirement, Edith was employed by Spring Industries.

Edith is survived by: her son, Jackie Swafford of Calhoun, GA; one step-son, Phillip Pendergrass of VA; three step-daughters, Wanda Watson and her husband Rodney of Calhoun, GA, Sally Pendergrass of VA, and Jenny Garrett of VA; one brother, James Swafford and his wife Shirley of Calhoun, GA; two sisters, Kristin Louise Grant and her husband Jack of NC and Marie Hall and her husband Charles of Calhoun, GA; step-grandchildren, Joel and Megan Watson and family, Josh and Holly Watson and family, Laura and Doug Garland and family, and Jamie Jackson and family; eleven great-grandchildren; and special nieces, AnnMarie Black and Ruby Lee. Several additional nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
